FORENSIC MEDICINE
About Forensic Medicine
Ages: 5-12 | Levels: 1-3
Locations: Richmond Hill & Toronto
Use the Power of Science to Identify & Analyze Clues to Help Solve Crimes!
Medics will journey into a different area of medicine where doctors and scientists specialize in identifying and analyzing microscopic clues to help solve crimes. Think of them as doctor detectives!
Junior Medics will explore forensic pathology, odontology (teeth), entomology (insects), anthropology (bones) as well as DNA, blood basics and dactyloscopy (fingerprints). Throughout the week, Medics will be presented with team challenges where they will use their problem solving skills and attention to detail to successfully complete each activity. At the end of the week they use all of their skills to solve a non-violent crime. There may even be a few escape room type challenges!

Mini Medics will be exploring bugs, nature, genetic traits in animals and humans, fingerprints, footprints, scat and owl pellets then use their observational skills to solve non-violent crimes.
Note: Content and activities have been customized for each age group and are not intended to be scary. Every effort has been made to present the information and activities in kid friendly ways but if your child is particularly sensitive, our Discover and Explore camps would be a better fit.
This Camp Covers:
FINGERPRINTS, DNA, BLOOD TYPES, BONES, PATHOLOGY, MICROBIOLOGY, TOXICOLOGY, ENTOMOLOGY, OBSERVATIONAL SKILLS, CRITICAL THINKING, CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION.

Medics Camp’s certified STEM.org programs are designed to be age-specific and learner-driven, offering unique daily activities for every program and age group. As kids progress through the age groups, the topics and challenges grow more complex, and each program theme introduces new medical professionals and concepts.
For example, an 8-year-old in the Level 2 Mini Medics group (ages 7-9) can join any or all three themes: Discover, Explore, and Forensic Med and each day will offer fresh experiences tailored to their age. The following summer, they can advance to the Junior Medics group (ages 9-12), tackling higher-level challenges in the same themes, with all-new content suited for older campers.
There’s no required order or prerequisites—each theme is self-contained and age-appropriate. Campers are always grouped with peers their age, working in small teams of 4 to 6, and guided by dedicated instructors and counselors in their own camp rooms.
At Medics Camp, your child will enjoy a personalized, exciting journey that inspires curiosity and learning!

*Campers must be at least age 5 OR have completed JK.

Meet the Medics
Level 1 – Ages 5-7
Munchkin Medics are already showing an interest in learning. They are inquisitive and like to ask lots of questions. They will follow our daily medical science themes with age appropriate activities, games and crafts.
Level 2 – Ages 7-9
Mini Medics are kids who are intellectually curious and eager to learn about science, medicine and the human body through experiments, activities, crafts and games.
Level 3 – Ages 9-12
Junior Medics (level 3) are bright, focused and interested in medical science and how the human body works. They are mature and ready for the challenge of more advanced experiments and activities.

Teens – Ages 13-17
FALCONs are teens who are interested in learning the Red Cross standard first aid and CPR course for personal growth or for certification. They are mature, responsible, community minded and interested in gaining leadership skills and tools that will make them better leaders at home, at school and in their community.
