EXPLORE!
About Explore Theme
Ages: 5-12 | Levels: 1-3
Locations: Markham, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Toronto & Vaughan
Explore the world of medical science, health and the human body. In this version of Medics Camp we will explore the nervous system, how the brain works, mental health, pet health and veterinary medicine. We will take a journey beginning in your mouth where you smell and taste your food and and then follow the food as it goes through your digestive system. Junior Medics will even be making poop! (not real of course) We will learn how our eyes and ears work and use our doctor skills to test our senses, learn sign language and create our names using the braille alphabet. Skin is the largest organ in the body. Medics will learn about it and the sense of touch, types of anesthesia and how it works and then practice their surgical skills. Friday is first aid day where basic skills are learned and different from the ones they may have learned in our Discover theme camp.
This Camp Covers:
BRAIN, NERVOUS SYSTEM, NEUROSCIENCE, CONCUSSIONS, MENTAL HEALTH, DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, SIGHT, SOUND, TASTE, TOUCH, SMELL, SKIN, SURGERY, ANESTHESIA, SIGN LANGUAGE, BRAILLE, VETERINARY MEDICINE, FIRST AID and more...

Who is this Camp For?
Level 1 – Munchkin Medics: Ages 5-7*
Level 2 – Mini Medics: Ages 7-9
Level 3 - Junior Medics: Ages 9-12
Age-Based and Learner-Driven Unique Journeys: Activities and topics increase in complexity for each age group and are different each day of each program theme.
Types of doctors kids learn about include: Surgeons, Neurologists, Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Dermatologists, Audiologists, Nephrologists, Gastroenterologists, Veterinarians, Anesthesiologists, Psychiatrists, Otolaryngologists and more....
Medics Camp’s certified STEM.org programs are designed to be age-specific and learner-driven, offering unique daily activities for every program and age group. As kids progress through the age groups, the topics and challenges grow more complex, and each program theme introduces new medical professionals and concepts.
For example, an 8-year-old in the Level 2 Mini Medics group (ages 7-9) can join any or all three themes: Discover, Explore, and Forensic Med and each day will offer fresh experiences tailored to their age. The following summer, they can advance to the Junior Medics group (ages 9-12), tackling higher-level challenges in the same themes, with all-new content suited for older campers.
There’s no required order or prerequisites—each theme is self-contained and age-appropriate. Campers are always grouped with peers their age, working in small teams of 4 to 6, and guided by dedicated instructors and counselors in their own camp rooms.
At Medics Camp, your child will enjoy a personalized, exciting journey that inspires curiosity and learning!

*Campers must be at least age 5 OR have completed JK.
