Activities and topics increase in complexity for each age group and are different each day of each program theme.
About Discover Theme
Discover the world of medical science, health and the human body. Learn about the skeletal system and then examine x-rays and apply splints, casts and slings. Hunt for germs and test your handwashing skills. Understand how medications and vaccines work and write a prescription on your own Rx pad. Learn about the heart and cardiovascular system and then using real medical equipment take vital signs. Find out what a blood type is and hold a mock blood drive. Observe a heart dissection. Examine how our lungs work and understand various breathing emergencies like asthma and choking and how you can help. Learn basic first aid skills and when to call 911.
