Are you a high school student between the ages of 13–17 with an interest in health, medical science, or helping others? Do you enjoy working with children and want a hands-on opportunity to learn about STEM, medicine, and education? Medics Camp is the perfect place to explore your interests, develop practical skills, and gain valuable experience in a fun and supportive environment.

As a Volunteer, you’ll assist instructors and counselors in guiding campers through engaging hands-on STEM and medical science activities, helping bring lessons to life while learning about teaching, leadership, and healthcare. You’ll also have the chance to learn about different medical careers and receive mentorship from instructors who may be studying in the same area of interest as you. This is an unpaid position, but it offers an incredible opportunity to gain experience that strengthens your resume and university applications, especially for competitive programs like health sciences.

While volunteering hours may not count toward school credit for all students, summer 2026 volunteers at our Maple and Woodbridge locations can earn community service hours recognized by all school boards through our partnership with the City of Vaughan. Even if school credit isn’t granted, the experience builds confidence, leadership, and professional skills that will benefit you in your future career.

Many of our current counselors started as volunteers, making it a great way to see if Medics Camp is a good fit before applying for a paid role. Successful volunteers are often given priority for paid counselor positions, sometimes even within the same season. Volunteers make a meaningful contribution to campers’ learning and growth, gain first-hand exposure to healthcare and STEM education, and join a supportive, mission-driven team.

Join us for a week of learning, growth, and fun, and take your first step toward a future in healthcare and STEM while making a positive impact on young minds.
