FALCON Teens
First Aid & Leadership

About FALCON
FALCON is a specialized leadership program for teens who are ready to step up. Participants will learn Standard First Aid and CPR Level C as part of the program and those teens who are interested in official certification will have the opportunity upon successful completion of the skills assessments and written exam at no additional fee.
Designed specifically with teens in mind, this elite program blends hands-on first aid training, realistic, teen-relevant emergency scenarios, and intentional leadership and team-building activities. As an added enrichment opportunity, FALCON teens will also observe real medical specimens, giving them a deeper, more authentic look into human anatomy and medical science.
FALCON for teens is ideal for future leaders, aspiring healthcare professionals, or teens who need first aid certification for employment or lifeguarding, all within a fun, small-group camp environment that builds confidence, life skills, and lasting friendships.
For FALCONS considering a career in healthcare, we encourage participants to apply for a position on the Medics Camp team. This educational work experience can be a meaningful way to stand out on university applications, particularly for competitive programs such as Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or related healthcare pathways.

Program Details:
Hands-On First Aid and CPR Training:
By teaching teens practical first aid and CPR skills, the FALCON program empowers them to take action in emergency situations, fostering a sense of self-reliance and confidence. Knowing they have the ability to make a difference in critical moments instills a deep-seated belief in their own capabilities.
Leadership Challenges and Scenarios:
Throughout the program, teens are placed in leadership roles and presented with scenarios that require them to make decisions, solve problems, and guide their peers. These experiences help them develop independent thinking and decision-making skills, as they learn to navigate and respond to various challenges without relying on others for solutions.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
While teamwork is a significant component of the program, teens are also encouraged to identify their unique strengths and contributions. By understanding their individual roles within a team, they build a sense of personal accountability and independence, knowing that their actions have a direct impact on the group's success.
Resourcefulness and Innovation:
The program emphasizes finding creative solutions to both medical and non-medical challenges. Teens are encouraged to think outside the box, utilize available resources, and develop innovative approaches to problem-solving. This nurtures their ability to act independently and resourcefully in various situations.
Healthcare Careers:
There are so many more careers available that youth may not be familiar with. If your teen is interested in health and the human body, we'll help introduce them to some very cool healthcare professions! We have also partnered with Future Reach Education to help teens navigate how to reach those career goals.
Graduates of FALCON are encouraged to apply for future volunteer and employment opportunities with Medics Camp once they complete their standard first aid and CPR certification.

Medics Camp FALCON has partnered with HELPgta, a Red Cross training partner, to offer FALCON teens the opportunity to get certified in standard first aid and CPR during their camp week at no additional charge. This partnership ensures that our campers gain valuable life-saving skills as part of their enriching camp experience even if they choose not to pursue certification or are unable to satisfy Red Cross requirements. First Aid skills are life-skills.
