DISCOVER!

About Discover Theme
Scrub in and get ready to discover the amazing world of medicine! In Discover Med, campers explore how the human body works and learn how real doctors and healthcare professionals help us stay healthy. From germs and disease prevention to bones, blood, and breathing, campers dive into fascinating medical science topics through fun, hands-on, skill-based activities every day all as part of a STEM.org accredited program.
Campers learn how to stop the spread of germs, practice proper handwashing, and explore how the heart, lungs, and immune system keep us alive and thriving. They’ll take vital signs using real medical equipment, practice being both doctor and patient, and step into the roles of dentists, pharmacists, pediatricians, and more building essential STEM and first aid skills along the way.
Each day brings a new discovery from seeing a real pig heart and a cow bone up close, to learning CPR, how to help a choking patient, and how to use an EpiPen safely. Through interactive, real-world learning, Discover Med campers build confidence, curiosity, and care for others while exploring the exciting world of healthcare.
Some of the medical professionals campers learn about include:
Family Doctors
Pediatricians
Nurses
Dentists
Pharmacists
Orthopedists
Cardiologists
Immunologists
Public Health Doctors
Physiotherapists

Medics Camp’s certified STEM.org programs are designed to be age-specific and learner-driven, offering unique daily activities for every program and age group. As kids progress through the age groups, the topics and challenges grow more complex, and each program theme introduces new medical professionals and concepts.
For example, an 8-year-old in the Level 2 Mini Medics group (ages 7-9) can join any or all three themes: Discover, Explore, and Forensic Med and each day will offer fresh experiences tailored to their age. The following summer, they can advance to the Junior Medics group (ages 9-12), tackling higher-level challenges in the same themes, with all-new content suited for older campers.
There’s no required order or prerequisites—each theme is self-contained and age-appropriate. Campers are always grouped with peers their age, working in small teams of 4 to 6, and guided by dedicated instructors and counselors in their own camp rooms.
At Medics Camp, your child will enjoy a personalized, exciting journey that inspires curiosity and learning!
