How Specialized STEM Camps Help Passionate Kids Find True Belonging
According to research from the American Camp Association, 96% of campers say camp helped them make new friends.
When curious, science-loving kids solve problems, test ideas, and try again together, something happens naturally: strangers become friends. Shared experiences have a way of bringing people together.

A Medics Camp Moment
A camper mom reached out to us this September with a story that stayed with us. Her daughter had met a wonderful friend at our STEM camp. They had been together in the same Medics Camp programs across two weeks, but in the excitement of the last day, neither family thought to exchange contact information.
Two months later, her daughter was still talking about her friend and hoping they could have a play date.
So we reached out to the other family and passed along the request. No names or personal information were shared without permission. The families made the connection, and hopefully, a new friendship will continue long after camp ended.
And this isn't a one-off.
Many of our FALCON teens have stayed connected with friends they met at Medics Camp. Some of those friendships have lasted more than four years, even though the teens attend different high schools. They stay connected through social media during the school year and some even come back to Medics Camp and work side by side as counselors.

That's the kind of community we're proud to build. Because sometimes, the most meaningful thing a child takes home from camp isn't just what they learned. It's knowing they found people who get them.
