FALCON
First Aid & Leadership

About FALCON First Aid
Step into the role of a real-life hero! In this action-packed week, teens learn to stay calm, think fast, and take charge in emergencies while training toward their Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification. Through hands-on practice and realistic scenarios, they’ll develop lifesaving skills like CPR, bandaging, and responding to injuries that teens can actually relate to. Campers who successfully complete all course components will receive their Red Cross standard first aid certification.
Working in small teams, campers take on leadership and team-building challenges that build confidence, problem-solving, and communication skills. Along the way, they’ll test their physical limits performing CPR, support one another through new challenges, and form lasting friendships.
A professional guidance counselor joins us during the week to help our future leaders navigate high school, post-secondary pathways, and career goals. By the end of the week, teens leave equipped with essential first aid knowledge, stronger leadership skills, and the confidence to make a difference at home, at school, and in their communities.
Ages: 5-12 | Levels: 1-3
Locations: Markham, Thornhill, Toronto, Woodbridge

Program Details:
Hands-On First Aid and CPR Training:
By teaching teens practical first aid and CPR skills, the FALCON program empowers them to take action in emergency situations, fostering a sense of self-reliance and confidence. Knowing they have the ability to make a difference in critical moments instills a deep-seated belief in their own capabilities.
Leadership Challenges and Scenarios:
Throughout the program, teens are placed in leadership roles and presented with scenarios that require them to make decisions, solve problems, and guide their peers. These experiences help them develop independent thinking and decision-making skills, as they learn to navigate and respond to various challenges without relying on others for solutions.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
While teamwork is a significant component of the program, teens are also encouraged to identify their unique strengths and contributions. By understanding their individual roles within a team, they build a sense of personal accountability and independence, knowing that their actions have a direct impact on the group's success.
Resourcefulness and Innovation:
The program emphasizes finding creative solutions to both medical and non-medical challenges. Teens are encouraged to think outside the box, utilize available resources, and develop innovative approaches to problem-solving. This nurtures their ability to act independently and resourcefully in various situations.
Healthcare Careers:
There are so many more careers available that youth may not be familiar with. If your teens is interested in health and the human body, we'll help introduce them to some very cool healthcare professions! We have also partnered with Future Reach Education to help teens navigate how to reach those career goals.
Graduates of FALCON may be eligible for future volunteer and employment opportunities with Medics Camp once they complete their standard first aid and CPR certification.
